Baby Graham Adoption Fund

Donation protected
All funds received will go toward our family adopting an infant domestically after fifteen painful years of infertility. Below is an excerpt of a blog post I wrote on that battle a few years ago. Today the Lord is leading us toward adoption, but it costs a third of our annual income, with the next big check being nearly a month's salary. We're moving forward by faith God will continue to provide. (The cost used to be half ofour annual income.) If he's calling you to help, thank you so much. Note I can no longer bake you cookies, so sorry. If you'd like a free book in exchange for an honest review, ask in the comments. To buy something to support us, check out our books on Amazon (Adam Graham  or Andrea Graham ) or our Lila Rose Fundraiser.

As some of you may know, my husband and I suffer from infertility, both male and female factors. Sometimes, I don’t know what is more painful, when your dreams of biological children start to die inside you or when others give up on you ever conceiving.

My ghost babies are growing up so fast. Twelve, nine, who knows?

If you’re not infertile, you may not get what it’s like to grieve for children who were not only never born but never conceived but your heart is stubbornly so sure ought to have existed. I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom, a homeschooler. The time I would’ve spent on those activities gets poured into writing and editing. Irony of life is, mothers long for quiet time that is scarce to them, while I have too much of it.

Childless women pick up subtle, hopefully unintended social messages that we are second-class citizens compared to mothers. We get left out, discounted, treated like we don’t exist, don’t count. In the media, barren women are often portrayed negatively. Our pain can lead to bitterness and so forth, but due to resiliency, many of us remain loving, kind, compassionate souls who would’ve been great moms and are no threat.

What about my ghosts? Will God remember the children robbed of this life by health problems that kept their parents from conceiving? Do we infertile have any hope of seeing the babies we mourn in Heaven?

Whatever the answer, God will comfort me somehow. All I know is God weeps with us childless would-be parents and with the children who have lost their moms and dads. Perhaps in good time he will make something beautiful out of our broken pieces.
