Baby Jamie and his new way of life

Donation protected
Hello everyone,
A few weeks ago, our best friend and her husband nearly lost their baby boy, only 6 months old. He was rushed to St Thomas’s hospital from queen Elizabeth after Jamie’s mum already being sent home with him saying it was constipation. Jamie was half hour away from losing his life.
He has had four major operations since, and at one point Jamie’s parents were being told to prepare for the worst. Against all odds these amazing doctors were able to save Jamie’s life, but also this came with a very life changing decision. He is going to be in hospital for a considerable amount of time, probably for the next year. The amazing Ronald McDonald charity supports parents and provides them accommodation next door to the hospital so they can be close to their babies. This is where Stacey and Dean will be for the foreseeable future.

Jamie has had to have most of his bowels removed so he will no longer be able to eat as normal, and will be fed via a central line IV in his chest. While he should be able to run and play, and enjoy most things children enjoy, he will be fed in this way for at least 12 hours per day, and is liable to infections due to the open wound he will always have. Stacey and Dean will not be able to work for the foreseeable future. Stacey will never work again due to the 24 hour care her son will need. Not to mention the amount of equipment that will now have to be put in place when they finally move to a new home. If anyone would like to donate anything at all, every small amount will go a long way to help Jamie and his Mum and Dad with their new journey and giving their son the most normal life they can.

Stacey, Dean and Jamie have had an unbelievable amount of support which Stacey, Dean and their family are so so grateful for. To be able to raise even a small amount to help them through this devastating, life changing time is the least we can do.

Any donations will be deeply appreciated. Xx

thank you ❤️
