Baby Jax fight against cancer

My beautiful grandson Jaxson Lee was walking with a limp waddling back and forth like a penguin. We thought he was just being silly but after 2 weeks we decided to take him to the doctor to make sure there was nothing wrong with his leg. On June 26, 2023, the doctor told us that he had abnormal levels of white blood cells and was diagnosed with cancer, specifically BCELL ALL acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. His bone marrow was overcrowded with cancer causing bone and joint pain. The cancer spread to his liver and spleen, enlarging both.

We were utterly shocked and devastated! This 2 ½ year old boy, who just a few weeks prior was perfectly fine, running around chasing his favorite chickens and ducks at the farm. Jax will need spinal tap chemo weekly to make sure the cancer does not spread to his spine and brain in conjunction with his regular chemo through his port and various other meds. His treatment will be a minimum of 2 – 3 years.

With a cruel twist of fate, the week after he was diagnosed my daughter in law was laid off from her job. The financial burden associated with Jax ongoing care, uncovered drugs, and future medical expenses is overwhelming for everyone. On top of that she is 6 ½ months pregnant and is not allowed to be in the same room when Jax receives his spinal tap chemo, due to the fact the medication to sedate Jax can harm her unborn baby. It will be me or my son that will care for Jax during this specific treatment. I am asking your help to lift some of that burden. No amount is to small and if you are unable to donate, please kindly say a prayer for baby Jax. He has been so strong and brave, and we just want him to be back to normal chasing chickens and ducks again. We love you so much, grandma loves you so much! Thank you so much!
