Baby Jelanee Bahige's Journey to a Healthy Heart
Donation protected
We urgently seek your support and generosity for Jelanee Bahige, son to Sarah and Valerie Bahige and “baby brother” to Imanee Bahige. Born in April of 2023, Jelanee not only met, but surpassed each milestone since birth and has brought immeasurable joy to his family.
Jelanee is battling a severe and life-threatening heart condition that was unknown until his hospitalization on September 13th, 2023. The discovery of an enlarged heart and liver led to a diagnosis of left ventricular dilated cardiomyopathy, which has caused his tiny heart to struggle to provide him with the oxygen he desperately needs to thrive. This diagnosis means a long-term battle with constant care, hospitalization, and the possibility of a heart transplant. Baby Jelanee’s parents are overwhelmed with medical bills and the understanding that this diagnosis will require lifelong specialty care.
Baby Jelanee is currently located at Primary Children’s in Salt Lake City, Utah where he was flown for emergency care after the discovery of his heart condition. He is receiving excellent care by the team of doctors and nurses who have done everything they can to help Baby Jelanee succeed in his fight. His parents are looking at the possibility of being transferred to Children’s Hospital Colorado in Denver, Colorado which will bring additional costs overwhelming a remarkable family trying to care for their precious child.
Your donations will go directly towards his medical expenses, specialized treatments, and the hope for a brighter, healthier future. Every dollar counts in this fight for Baby Jelanee’s life, and your contribution will bring much-needed relief to a family facing an unimaginable challenge.
Together, we can give Baby Jelanee the chance to grow, smile, and experience the joy of life. Please open your hearts and donate today to make a difference in this precious baby's life. Your support means everything to us.
