Baby Jonas and Hefner Family

The Hefner family is in need of immediate help. Between food, travels, care for their two year old son, and being out of work while Jonas is in the hospital, the need is greater than ever for this family. They are full of service and love and we now have the opportunity to help them during this trial. 

On May 18, 2021, Tim and Josie Hefners newborn son, Jonas Hefner, asphyxiated while in his rocking chair/swing and his heart stopped, almost immediately. He didn't have a pulse for 7-10 minutes. His father, Tim, started CPR immediately to try and get his heart started. When the paramedics arrived, he was still without a pulse, gray and very cold. They continued CPR and he finally gained a  pulse. At that point, they took him via ambulance to the nearest Pediatric ER, 45 minutes away. A team of Doctors worked incredibly to get him stable. He is currently in the PICU, intubated as he cannot breathe on his own, and fighting for his life and trying to overcome a severe RSV infection. If you would be able to help in anyway, they would greatly appreciate it. They have been told that they will be in the ICU for several day. They are doing nonstop tests and scans to help baby Jonas fight and win! The Hefners are also faithful and devoted Christians and members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
