Hello Everyone,
I am hosting a fundraiser for my sister Precious Everett. She is the mother of 4 beautiful little girls (10 year old, 9 year old, 5 year old, and 20 weeks old).
Baby Kar’Leigh Jhené was born 3 months early on December 16 2023 at 11:34 PM. When she was born, the doctor mentioned she would have to stay in NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) until they feel that she is of weight and met all milestones as a NICU baby.
She currently has been at LeBonheur three weeks. She had a PDA (Patent ductus arteriosus) persistent opening between the two major blood vessels leading from the heart. So far she has had one surgery for the PDA in her heart, and they are discussing another surgery for her NEC for her intestines. NEC(Necrotizing enterocolitis) is a serious gastrointestinal problem that mostly affects premature babies. The condition inflames intestinal tissue, causing it to die, which can cause a hole in the baby’s intestines.
Baby Kar’Leigh has three siblings: Isabella, Brooklyn, and Har’Leigh. They all were excited to have a new edition to the family, but heartbroken at the same time when their little sister was not able to come home, but even more sad when they found out that their mother have to spend time away from them to be at the hospital with their baby sister. However, they get to FaceTime their mother and baby sister everyday.
My sister is currently not able to work, so whatever you give will be a blessing. The money will help her with transportation, the care of her other child, all of her necessities, and any medical expenses. We will be giving you all updates on Baby Kar’Leigh.
