Baby Malani Open Heart Surgery Recovery

Hi my name is Jonte, I’m the mother to baby Malani. She was born at a low birth weight 4lbs, which later at 2 months old I found out she developed a heart murmur. After baby Malani was referred to a cardiologist , a decision was made to do an outpatient balloon catheterization procedure to open up the valve in her heart . After multiple doctor visits, the cardiologist discovered that Malani actually needed to have open heart surgery. This surgery was done to fix the pulmonary stenosis diagnosis and also patch her heart to stop a leak. Baby Malani is currently at the Children’s Hospital recovering from her surgery in ICU.

However as a mother this is the most humbling ask of my life. My pride is taking a huge backset as I have always tried to be strong. But I can use your help now. I have exhausted my options with my source of income. I was relying on my taxes that were taken, as well as other resources denying me. I can use your help for baby Malani recovering expenses, traveling fees, and living expenses. At this time I will not be able to return to work due to this critical medical condition. Baby Malani recovery time is estimated 8-12 weeks. As a mother I cannot and will not leave my baby side until she is healed.
