Baby Maldonado IVF Journey
Donation protected
We are Chris and Izela Maldonado and would like to ask for any support in growing our family through IVF.
Our current journey thus far has been one that could probably be a great novel to read, in my opinion. Izela and I have been married for over two years (Dec 2018) and best companions for about five. You could say we met the modern way (online via Match.com), yet the love and fun is all the same!
I have a daughter who Izela loves on as her own. Although the talk of having children has come up in the past, we never thought it would be a possibility for us. Izela was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome at a young age and was told that she would never have kids of her own. We both understood we couldn't expand our family the traditional way and knew that adoption was always the option if we wanted.
As time continued, the more Izela and my daughter interacted the more the want for a child of our own grew. So before we went down the adoption journey, we wanted to be sure there was nothing that could be done for us to have our own. Many tests and prayer later...Izela had the ability to carry but not conceive naturally. This has given us the hope we needed to continue where we are today.
Asking for help is never easy, nor do we do it enough when we truly need it. The cost of IVF itself is a large one. Needing an egg donor on top of it, seems to make it look like a mountain. As Christians, we know God can move mountains. So this is why we look towards our community. Any support that is given would go towards the cost of an egg donor, the IVF process, and any other medical expense. With Izela already looking to being a high risk pregnancy, we know God will provide for any need.
We are VERY THANKFUL and GRATEFUL for any support. Even if you can't help us financially, we ask you please share our story with others if you can.
Thank you all.
May God Bless Everyone.
Chris, Izela & River.
