Baby Moscho’s Heart Battle/Sarah’s Cancer Battle

Donation protected
At 17 weeks pregnant Sarah was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. Sarah had surgery on October 22nd to remove her thyroid and surgery went successful however the cancer spread to her lymph nodes. If hearing the news about having cancer wasn’t shocking enough, at 20 weeks pregnant the Moscho’s got the news that their baby girl will need to be born down in the cities and will need to have heart surgery a few days after she is born. She has a condition called TGA (Transposition of the Great Arteries) which basically means the two main arteries of her heart are not connected to the correct chambers and need to be switched so blood and oxygen can flow properly to her heart and body. Without surgery baby will not survive.

Current Status:
Baby is doing great and growing right on track! They have a scheduled C-Section for February 7th unless she decides to come earlier...how fast they do her heart surgery all depends on how healthy and strong she is after she is born.

Sarah’s treatment plan will be Radioactive Iodine. The plan is to take that medication a month or two after they finally make it home with their baby girl. At the time of radiation she will be sucluded from any contact with anyone for 10 days or more!

Russ is a self employed trucker and will be away from work to be with his family.

Any donation, big or small will help lift this huge financial burden from them as they prepare to heal and retreat back to health. Your donation is greatly appreciated!
