Hey everyone! I am one of Kasie’s childhood best friends and wanted to start this GoFundme to help support her family's journey with HLHS and help relieve the financial stress of this difficult journey.
At 23 weeks pregnant, Kasie and Brandon found out that their baby boy, Noah, had a very complex heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). Essentially, he only has half a heart.
They had to uproot their life and move at 36 weeks pregnant to Houston so that they could give Noah the best chance at surviving his diagnosis. Noah has had three open heart surgeries, cardiac arrest, and multiple procedures since his birth.
Currently, he is in heart failure and they have been in the hospital for over four months, three of those months were spent in the Cardiac ICU. They have no answer on when they can return home to Austin. They have placed their home on the market, but at this time has not sold.
I created this fund to help Noah and his family with the financial burden. Just one day in the ICU is over $4,000 dollars. Currently, they have over 2.5 million dollars in medical bills and insurance doesn’t cover everything. They are having to pay for both a home mortgage in Austin plus their apartment in Houston, which they need since it's right across the street from the hospital.

Feeding therapies for Noah
Meals for Kasie and Brandon while they're at the hospital
Their apartment in Houston/mortgage back home in Austin
