Baby Ocho (Harriet Pearl) has a Happy Heart!!

Hi! My name is Jennifer Halvaksz and I am so excited to tell you about my baby niece, Harriet Pearl born June 15, 2023! My brother Gus and his wife, Janet have been tirelessly working to help Harriet have the best care in the world (Boston Children's Hospital) to repair her congenital heart defect, Truncus Arteriosus.

Gus and Janet moved to Boston in early June in preparation for "Baby Ocho's" birth and have been at her side ever since. At less than a week old, Hattie underwent a 9 hour surgery to reconstruct her heart and major vessels. Like her parents, she has been an absolute CHAMPION and crushed all of the goals for success after her surgery. Gus and Janet were able to take Hattie "home" from the hospital a few days ago and will remain in Boston for the next month or so to ensure all is well.
