Baby Parker's Fight, Omphalocele Journey
Donation protected
Hello Family, Friends & Generous Souls of this World. This fundraiser has been started for baby Parker Jude Radice, who was diagnosed with a very rare condition called Omphalocele. An omphalocele is a birth defect in which the infant's intestines or other abdominal organs stick out of the belly button. In baby Parker's case, he is considered to have a giant Omphalocele due to his liver being involved.
Baby Parker was born on August 11, 2022 weighing 7 lbs 14 oz. Right from birth, he was intubated due to trouble breathing, but within a day, he was taken off the vent and put on cpap & now he is breathing on his own! He has been so unbelievably strong and proven a fighter! Baby Parker also has the most amazing, incredible parents in the World, Gerard & Elyse Radice. Their love, compassion & strength for Parker is inspiring. They have been by his side every second and minute since he was born.
Parker is currently in the NICU at CHOP Hospital. Elyse and Gerard have been staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia, which is near the Hospital. Elyse has relocated there full time until baby Parker is ready to come home. Gerard has been traveling back and forth for work. Even though Parker is kicking ass, he still has a very long journey ahead of him. He will most likely be in the NICU for 6-9 months.
Please help Parker Jude Radice on his road to recovery. Any donation will help relieve the burden of hospital bills, extended stay & travel expenses. We hope providing some financial relief will allow Elyse and Gerard to focus all their energy on baby Parker's recovery.
We appreciate all the love and support shown to this amazing family! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
