Baby Sage Tobin-Bixby funeral, medical, counseling
Donation protected
After nine months of life-changing excitement, costly preparation, and growing expectations- Sage Thomas Tobin-Bixby was born September 5th, 2019, at Broadlawns. Sage experienced severe complications at birth and was immediately taken to the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines.
Sage spent eight days in the NICU. While the doctors determined he was physically healthy, he didn’t have enough brain activity to sustain life. He was taken off of life support just after 5am Thursday September 12th and after a 15 hour fight, passed away in his parents arms. Garrett and Abby decided to save the lives of other babies by making Sage an organ donor. His life and legacy of saving and transforming lives is alive and growing.
$10,000 or more is needed immediately to help bare the costs and burdens of the parents Garrett Bixby and Abby Tobin. The money will be used for end of life expenses, medical bills, recovery counseling and other expenses.
Several people have asked me if there was anything that they could do for the family. This is it. A donation of any amount will be deeply appreciated. They need you and so do we. Thank you!
