BabyTheas Recovery From Tragic Burn Accident

As many of you know on May 18th 2022 my Daughter had an accident &walked in to our firepit in her walker while outside playing.The fire was not lit but the embers were still hot from the night before. Thea was able to come home a couple days before father's day after 2 surgeries and a long month being hospitalized. We have been going through a rough time these past 2 months. On 09/14 Thea turned ONE years old! Due to her accident she lost a month of learning and has not been able to take her FIRSTSTEPS yet, But we will get there.Thea has been going to thearpy 2 times a week for physical therapy and Occupational Thearpy, she wears compression garments as she can tolerate as well as splints under her right arm to help thea to stretch and position her right arm to get it to be able to bend so she has more mobility. Thea was scheduled to have surgery done again to her left hand in September. When we seen the Dr in august their was a set back due to not enough thearpy treatment, because Theas pinky finger from her skin graphs healed over and is holding her pinky to her hand as you can see in the updated pictures . Thearpy has tried everything to rip it and they had no luck. They say Theas pinky is more than likely dislocated now from being held back for so long like that. We have expressed our concern about this again at our appt in August and we asked just to make a slit in it to set her finger free, They still did not want to do that to continue to just to try to rip it, here we are almost October and no luck..Thearpy has told us last week that we will have to amputate theas pinky finger, on top of her needing reconstructive surgery on her left hand and will be staying in the hospital for awhile once again. It's been very hectic and stressful for our family. Our finances are not looking to good and we try to make do with the income we have, I dont work much so Thea can get the care she needs at home, but unfortunately medicaid dont pay for her creams,her compression garments, let alone the gas for her thearpy appts or her follow up appointments 45 mins away so with all our bills and the importance of theas needs added we barely affoed our bills and always have to put one or 2 Bills off to get theas necessary needs to help her . Any donations are greatfully appreciative as we prepare ourself for theas second surgey on her left hand that leads to more hospital stays and thearpy as well as missed time from work to be there with thea in the hospital & one of us at home to take care of the other 2 kids we have. We go back to the Dr October 11th and hope that we will know when surgery is and if they will amputate her finger! Thea will need more surgeries through out her life as she contuines to grow.
