BABY THEODORE'S SAGITTAL CRANIOSYNOSTOSIS SURGERY

Donation protected
Theodore is one year old and will be having surgery on December 14th, 2022. He has sagittal craniosynostosis and will have to have a SAGITTAL CRANIOSYNOSTOSIS REPAIR WITH BIFRONTAL OSTEOTOMY/ BIPARIETAL MORCELLATION, which, in layman's terms, means he will have an incision from ear to ear and a halo cut around his skull to remove and reshape it and put back with dissolvable plates and screws so that his brain will be able to continue growing along with his skull. The medical bills are adding up fast, and his family needs help financially to make sure they can cover the costs of this expensive surgery. Craniosynostosis is a birth defect in which the bones in a baby's skull join together too early. This happens before the baby's brain is fully formed. As the baby's brain grows, the skull can become more misshapen. The spaces between a typical baby's skull bones are filled with flexible material called sutures.
