Baby twins & chemotherapy! Support the Goodlings!

Hello - my name is Andrew McKay, and I am fundraising to help my friends Alysia and Ben Goodling. In late May 2022, Ben & Alysia welcomed two beautiful babies into the world, Malin & Owen. As if being first-time parents of newborn twins weren't stressful enough, both babies had to spend a bit of time in the NICU. Fortunately, both Malin & Owen were eventually allowed to go home with Mom & Dad, where they are continuing to grow big and strong!

From there, you'd think Ben & Alysia's life would be full of just the regular parents' struggles of sleepless nights, constant diaper changes, and fussy babies; but life had other plans... Ben was diagnosed with testicular cancer shortly after the babies were born. He quickly had surgery after his diagnosis and is currently doing several rounds of chemotherapy to complete his treatment in a few months.

On top of all of that, Ben just recently spent several days in the hospital after contracting COVID! He and Alysia are home now recovering from that additional life challenge.

Ben & Alysia are both public school teachers who dedicate their lives to helping others. They have a strong unit of family & friends to support them through this challenging time, but we wanted to find a way to do even more for them! With bills from multiple stints at the hospital, diapers, formula, cancer treatments, and occasionally hiring a doula to help them get through these early weeks with twins, Ben & Alysia will never ask for it, but they deserve some relief! And we want them to know that there are so many people out there who would happily do what they can to provide it...
