A Family in Need: Help Us Support Jeff & Diana in their Deepest Grief

Dear Friends and Family,

With a heart weighed down by sorrow, I come to you on behalf of two of the most kindhearted people I know—Jeff and Diana—who are facing an unimaginable tragedy. They have just lost their newborn son, Uriah, and alongside their grief, they are burdened with the expense of the cremation and celebration of life. Jeff was also laid off from his job the day before their son was born as well.

Uriah was named from the bible. It is a Hebrew name that means "my light is Yahweh" or "flame of God". It is a masculine name. Hittite soldier in King David's army. He was married to Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam.

Little Uriah was born with Edwards syndrome and a hole in his heart. From the moment he took his first breath, the doctors told them there was no chance—no way he would survive.But Jeff and Diana did what any loving parents would do: they embraced him with all the love they had, holding onto every precious moment, placing everything into God’s hands: and thanking God for the miracle of his life & the time they had.

They gave him warmth, love, and a lifetime of devotion in the short time he was here.

No parent should ever have to endure such heartbreak. And now, in the wake of their devastating loss, they are left with the unthinkable challenge of the cost of putting their son to rest. A burden that no family should have to bear alone.

Let’s Come Together for Jeff & Diana

Jeff and Diana are two of the most selfless, loving people you could ever meet. They built their own family from the ground up—proving that love and resilience can overcome any hardship and love will always prevail. But now, they need us.

They are faced with finding new employment due to Jeff’s lay off. Not just as friends or family, but as human beings who believe in compassion, love, and the power of standing together in times of need.
