Baby William Battles Brain Tumour

Donation protected
William is 16 months old and suffering from an extremely aggressive and rare form of cancer, combined with the removal of a brain tumour. We are seeking support and donations from friends and supporters to help William fight this battle.

William was diagnosed at Pembury Hospital with a brain tumour on the 11th December 2019. After many visits to the GP and Hospital, the family were told that this was viral, however, this was not the case. After being rushed to Kings College hospital the following day, William went straight in for his first emergency surgery to release the pressure around the tumour. Shortly after that William went in for a 14 hour surgery to try and remove the tumour. The operation was successful and William did wonders to fight through this. The surgeon managed to remove the majority of the tumour leaving the most complicated part located at the brain stem. Upon meeting with the surgeon to discuss the next steps, Faye and Chris were hit with very hard news when they were told William's tumour is Cancerous and the tumour is stage 3. For the family and friends this really was the worst news that could follow. On the 27th December 2019, William had his third Surgery at Kings College Hospital where the mission was to try and remove what was left of the tumour. This was a long and complicated 12 hours. We are still waiting for full results from the MRI however, the surgeons are positive. Williams story has only just begun and we will be following him and supporting him every step of the way to make sure he fights this tumour.

As a family, The Browns are facing an incredibly challenging future and will be coping with huge financial and emotional demands. William will no longer be able to enjoy nursery with his friends for quite some time as planned and will be assigned a London hospital for his Chemotherapy schedule and rehabilitation. William may need further treatments or further chemotherapy in the future.

Many family, friends and kind strangers have asked how they can ease the burden and help support William and the family through this very shocking and rare situation, hence why we wanted to start this page. Your kind contributions will go straight towards the cost of hospital expenses, any equipment William may need, travel expenses, living costs, learning tools and potential further treatments.  We want William to have the support he needs to get better and The Brown family to feel less pressure overall. If there are funds at a later stage that are not needed we will be donating this to the Lewis Moody Foundation which funds ground breaking research to improve the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumours in Children.

The future is unknown and changes happen on a daily basis so it is vital that The Browns have all of the love and support they need to get through this difficult time.

We would like to keep everyone updated with Williams strength and bravery with photos and progress.  Thank you so much for your love and support, we are so grateful.
