Baby Winkler and Family Support

Friday afternoon, March 25th, Rachel and Jason Winkler were thrown into every expecting parent’s worst nightmare.

 On their way home from picking up their daughter, Harper, their situation went from a fun afternoon to a day that had their family and friends frantically praying for Rachel and Baby Winkler. 

 Rachel started to experience serious complications with her pregnancy on the drive home.

 After being stabilized in West Union briefly, she was rushed to La Crosse, WI to a hospital that could give her and Baby Winkler the level of care they need. 

Thankfully, the incredible team in La Crosse have been able to stabilize Rachel and Baby Winkler and stop an early delivery for the time being. 

 At only 30 weeks pregnant, every day counts to keep Baby Winkler growing and safe inside mom. 

 To do that, Rachel will need to stay hospitalized and under constant medical care until she delivers which could be any day. 

 This certainly was not the birth story the Winklers were expecting to be telling. 

 With Rachel having to leave work earlier than planned, the Winklers will need support for their medical bills and to help with gas and trips back and forth from Iowa to Wisconsin which will be many in the coming months. 

 This has been such an emotional rollercoaster for Jason, Rachel and Harper, the last thing we want them worrying about are finances. 

 We want them to be able to focus on Baby Winkler and the care they need without stressing about anything more than they have to. 

 Medical bills from this long of stay and a potential NICU stay will add up quickly so we are asking our small town Iowa community to come together to support them in their time of need. 

 Jason and Rachel’s family and friends have put together this GoFundMe page for them, even though they have never once asked anyone for help.  

Anything you can give to support them, no matter how big or small, will make sure that they have one less thing to worry about during this trying time.

 If anything, your thoughts and prayers are always welcome and are working so keep praying hard for a safe arrival for Baby Winkler.
