Baby Xaden’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On Wednesday at 8:24am, baby Xaden Vernard Canady joined the family, 4 weeks earlier than planned.
Unfortunately, about an hour after he was born, it was noticed that baby Xaden's breathing was labored.
He was med-flown from Conway, and is now under the watchful eye of the NICU staff at Baptist Health in Little Rock.
At first they were hopeful that a simple nasal cannula would give him the O2 boost he needed, but it wasn't quite enough, so they had to sedate him and put him on a ventilator.
He has pneumonia in his left lung, which they are treating with antibiotics, but is complicating his lung’s ability to produce oxygen in his blood. His blood is drawn frequently in order to check blood gases, creatinine levels, etc.
As a result, Xaden has had to receive blood transfusions to replenish the red blood cells his own blood is lacking.
There is a lot we don't know, don't understand, but what we DO know is that this precious baby boy is in good hands, he has a Jeremiah 29:11 plan and purpose for his life, and His Creator is bigger than any machine he is hooked up to right now!!!
So many have asked what you can do to help. Aside from your fervent prayers (which are soooo greatly appreciated... THANK YOU!!), this unexpected birth and out-of-town hospital stay has been a financial setback for Sydnee and LaQuanta, so money is always needed. Sydnee has not been afforded maternity pay, so they are without her income, as well as the gas and food expense of traveling back and forth to LR.
Helping offset their significant loss of income along with making the commute to Little Rock possible would be the biggest blessing right now.
Thank you so much for your love and concern. Every amount is greatly appreciated!!!
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I [God] know the plans I have for you (Xaden), plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”
Thank You, Father, for sweet beautiful baby Xaden!! You are the Creator of life, and we are trusting You with this one!! Thank You for touching his body, his lungs, his heart, his blood, and perfecting that which is not functioning properly at the moment. Thank You for YOUR BREATH IN HIS LUNGS!!!! We give You ALL praise and glory for the miraculous turnaround we are believing for.
