BACKGROUND
Baby Mateo Angelo, Mark and Angela Creencia's newborn, was born prematurely in critical condition due to a very low hemoglobin and platelet count. He needed blood transfusion every 12 hours. He has been in the neonatal ICU for 9 days now waiting for his hemoglobin and platelets to stabilize. Mateo has been diagnosed with severe anemia due to pulmonary hypertension.
THE NEED
Mateo is showing us how strong he is. There are many challenges on the long road ahead. The costs associated with this level of care are overwhelming and most are not covered by insurance.
