Baby's modified maquet procedure

Hello, My name is Sharlee. I’m helping my mum; Ashley, raise a few extra dollars to help with our beloved dog; Baby’s cruciate disease surgery.

This is Baby, our gorgeous family pet & our baby, we have had her in our lives since she was 4 weeks old. My mum drove from Brisbane QLD to Mudgee NSW , to pick her up & she hasn’t left her side since for 4 years.

Cruciate Disease in dogs is a very common orthopaedic condition, where our dogs cranial cruciate ligament frays or ruptures. The cranial cruciate ligament is a tough ligament within the dog's stifle (knee) joint which attaches to both the femur and tibia.

Without a special surgery the ligament can never regrow or repair, and unless surgery is performed the knee joint will remain unstable and degenerative arthritis will occur.

Baby has been soldiering it out for a couple months now & it’s now starting to get to her health. Since her last vet trip we have found out she will need this surgery for BOTH her back legs. We are trying to raise enough for at least 1 leg, if we reach our goal the rest of the donations will go towards the second surgery!

Nothing means more to us than seeing her in no pain with a big, sloppy smile on her face.

Every single cent donated will help with surgery & recovery, 100% helping Baby get back to being her normal, bubbly, happy but stubborn self.
