Baby Schaeffer

Jennifer (Jen) and James (Duker) Schaeffer have been wanting to extend their family for quite some time...but the good Lord has presented them with another road to travel!!!

Jen and Duker married July of 2007 (7.7.7 to be exact!!) and started trying for a baby just a couple of years later (2009.) They would continue trying to conceive for the following four years before seeking medical advice. They both agreed to see fertilty specialists, and that's just what they did starting in 2013. The two of them endured many visits, tests and procedures; which ultimately left Jen with a diagnosis of PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) Most women with PCOS grow many small cysts on their ovaries.  The cysts are not harmful but lead to hormone imbalances, which commonly cause infertility issues. Jen has since tried several doctor recommendations to help the couple conceive...

Seven years of trying, 3 of which were spent with fertility specialists, and bookoos of doctor bills between the two (close to $8,000) have led the couple to go a different route for growing their family: Adoption!!!

Since opening their hearts to the idea of adoption, Jen & Duker have grown fond of the Lifetime Adoption Agency. They have offices in  California and Flordia but adopt world wide; and in this day of age where schedules and distance may get in the way, they are very flexible in working with their families via technology. Which is wonderful for the families trying to adopt. They can rest assure that little work will be missed, and can focus on being more prepared for the arrival of their new bambino.

Jen & Duker are hung up at the final application process...before they can proceed in their journey to parenthood, they have to pay $7,500 down. Now, most adoptions range anywhere from $10,000-$30,000 and our hopes are to help them raise as much as possible to make their dreams come true!!! 

Once past the initial payment, they hope to connect with a woman that is expecting and to be there for the delivery of their son or daughter. -xoxo
