Hi, my name is Jaritza, and I’m writing this with a heavy heart.

My mom, Denise, has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, and doctors have told us she has about five months left. Even though she’s incredibly sick, she’s still working just to keep a roof over our heads and food on the table. But more than anything, I just want her to be able to stop working and spend the time she has left with me and my siblings (we’re 10, 16, and 18).

My mom is the strongest, kindest person I know. She’s always been full of life—laughing, helping others, and putting us first no matter what. Now, I want to do something for her.

We’re asking for help to cover:

    •    Our rent

    •    Groceries for our family

    •    Her out-of-pocket medical costs

This would let her stop working and be with us without constantly worrying about bills. Every donation, no matter the size, would mean the world to us. It would give us time—real time as a family, which is something we can’t get back.
