Back the Climb: Return to Gannett Peak

I've spent years working toward the goal of standing atop the highest natural point in each of the 50 states. What began as a personal challenge soon became a lifelong adventure, taking me to some of the country's most stunning and remote landscapes. With 48 high points behind me, I am now closing in on my goal, with just two summits remaining.

One of those final challenges is Gannett Peak, Wyoming's highest mountain at 13,810 feet. Known for its remoteness and demanding terrain, Gannett is one of the most challenging state high points to reach. Completing this climb will be the culmination of years of dedication, endurance, and passion for the outdoors—and with the proper support, I am determined to make it happen.

I am hiring a local outfitter to provide a gear drop 20 miles up the trail. The outfitter will use pack horses to carry extra food and equipment up the trail and drop it off at a pre-determined location. Lightening the load this way will prevent excess wear and tear on my body and make the attempt safer and more feasible. The outfitter charges $2500 for the gear drop. All of your generous support goes directly toward making this possible.
