Tetrefu ICCES Training Centre is a Vocational / Technical institute is part of the nationwide ICCES program, which counts 46 centres in Ghana and 13 in Ashanti region.

Established in 1986, it is a Technical and Vocational Training Institution, which aims to provide skills for the youth of the community, including students coming from the most impoverished families.

Tetrefu ICCES has one of the lowest school enrollment fees in the Ashanti Region, primarily due to the high cost of attending school which prevents many indigenous families from receiving an education.

We strongly believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty that plagues the country and can create a better future for children and their families. The people of Tetrefu are predominantly farmers growing crops like Cassava, Plantain and Maize but few are engaged in petty trading.

ICCES’ vision is to become a well-resourced Organization that combats Youth Unemployment, rural-urban drift of the Youth and contribute to the development of micro and small-scale enterprises by them.

MISSION: ICCES exist to fill a major gap in employment generation by developing the young human resource in line with the poverty alleviation goal of the Government of Ghana through the establishment of Community-Based Vocational Training Centres throughout Ghana. The Centres train the youth in particular with the view to making them employable within and around their own communities.
