What does 23rd Ave Mean to us?
Linage - Home - Community
Our linage, our home, and our community excites us beyond words.
This journey has been extremely rewarding as well as extremely challenging. We developed a deeper passion and appreciation for the immense work and money that is needed to own and operate a successful brewery.
We have been working hard the past two years to create unique craft beer that we hope will entice people of color to join the beer craft community. Our time has finally come to open up shop and have a place where you can come in and purchase a pack of any of our selections as well as browse at our merchandise.
But of course, we need to finance the growth.
Being a black business owner can limit traditional funding from banks; but like our many other successful black entrepreneurs before us, we will not be deterred. We knew at this point that we needed help from our community.
The funds will be used to establish our atmosphere. We will fill this space with what the Central District once meant and continues to mean to us. The essence of the CD will be represented in our store- our linage, our home, and our community.
We are extremely grateful and humbled by the amount of support we've received since day 1 from friends, family, strangers, and the beer community. We want everyone to know your help made the biggest difference.
We are honored to come back to our community and we hope you can continue to be a part of this journey with us.
We cannot wait to bring a Black-Owned brewery to the Central District.
