Backpacks for Bay Area Refugees

Hello, I'm Hamza, a sophomore in high school. In coordination with MCC, I am fundraising for new backpacks for Zakat-eligible and deserving refugee families in the Bay Area. My goal is to raise enough money to purchase 70+ backpacks for the 2023 MCC School Supply Drive (my dad is the beneficiary and is handling the funds).

Thank you to everyone who donated! With your help, we surpassed our initial fundraiser goal and raised enough money for 80+ backpacks, all of which have been donated to the MCC School Supply Drive (see attached picture)! Thank you for your generosity and kindness!
