Gracin Chaprnka's Homeless Student Eagle Project
My name is Gracin Chaprnka. I am a Boy Scout from Troop 290 in Ada, Michigan and I am working on my Eagle Scout project.
The plan for my Eagle Project is to purchase, assemble, and donate 100 backpacks filled with school supplies to homeless students who
attend Grand Rapids Public Schools. I will be working in conjunction with the Grand Rapids Public School Homeless Liason, Mrs. Laura
McCloud
Twenty-five backpacks will be specifically designated for high schoolers and will include graphing calculators.
All backpacks will contain three-ring binders, spiral notebooks, composition books, two-pocket folders, pencil, cases and sharpeners,
erasers, ink pens, highlighters, crayons, colored pencils, glue, scissors, and rulers.
Scouts from my troop will also write personal letters of encouragement and support for each bag.
Donations are needed for purchasing supplies. One hundred percent of all donations will benefit homeless students.
