Repair from Ice Jam/Flood

Flash flooding and an ice jam overnight caused flash flooding damage at the Backwater Gamblers Water Ski site. The ice and water damaged property, tore apart a section of bleachers, took down light poles, moved trailers, damaged a retaining wall, and caused a dock to be lost. The team now needs to assess the damage, figure out the cost, and start the clean up, but, this isn’t something the team budgets for.

The Backwater Gamblers are a 501(c)3 non-profit water ski show team that performs free water ski shows twice a week all summer long for the Quad-Cities and has done so for the past 35 years. We rely solely on the support and funding from the community and fans to perform our ski shows, and none of our 160 members receive any pay to perform.
