Donate To BADASS, Fight Revenge Porn

Hi! This is an ongoing donation spot for BADASS- Battling Against Demeaning and Abusive Selfie Sharing. We are a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to eradicating revenge porn and image abuse. We provide victims with emotional support, tech advice and walkthroughs, legal help, and advocacy. BADASS has helped over 1000 victims worldwide, and continues to fight revenge porn through multiple channels- legislation, advocacy, and development. We have introduced a bill in the state of Ohio to criminalize the sharing of images without consent, and are working with representative Jackie Speier to bring the SHIELD Act to the federal house and senate. We have been spreading the word about revenge porn and the platforms used to share it, and our voice brought attention, and was vital to the shutdown of the now defunct anon-ib. BADASS does everything possible to help victims heal and re-empower themselves to help others. We have gone to the police with victims, helped law enforcement investigate their case, made referrals to legal resources, and have helped so many process their emotions and start the healing process. We work with several organizations to give victims of revenge porn and image abuse the tools they need to reclaim their images and fight back- Szalkiewicz and Associates, Cyber Civil Rights Initiative, March against Revenge Porn, and 50 shades of silence are only a few of the organizations working alongside or directly with BADASS to stop the cybershame. In order to continue doing the great work that we do, we rely on donations from allies and civilians. We try to do everything possible without charging the victims of this trauma anything. Our admins, COO and CEO put many hours into working for BADASS- without pay. Our founder, Katelyn, works about 80 hours a week on average, unpaid. All donations go towards our costs and the fees associated with our organization, and put towards programs and projects that would ultimately allow our staff to collect a small salary.
