Bad Atom Studios - 2018 Film Funds
Donation protected
In January 2017, I started up my own photography studio, Bad Atom Studios. I've been making local independent films and doing photography in the Toledo area for several years, and I also have several exciting independent film projects that I'm working on at the same time. 2018 has been a crazy busy year for me, and there is still a lot of work to be done and money to raise to make my film projects a reality this year.
Instead of doing individual fundraisers for each film project, I decided to do one continuous fundraiser for Bad Atom Studios to fund all of my projects. Below, I describe all of my current projects that still need funding, their production status, and what type of funding is still required. My goal is to be as transparent as possible.
Spy College 2: Spies Gone Wild!
We started production on the sequel to "Spy College" in August 2016, having raised about 1/3 of the funding required. I covered another 1/3 of the film's cost myself. With the funds we've raised so far, we were able to briefly restart production in July 2017. There are 5 days of shooting left to complete the film, and the majority of the funding still needed ($400 in total) will be primarily going toward casting, travel and costs associated with filming the car chase sequence at the end of the film.
I Hate My Job
A sitcom webseries, filmed in the style of The Office or Parks and Recreation, featuring the performers from our live comedy show, The Untitled Improv Show. We're currently in post-production, and we need funding to produce and release the complete series on Blu-ray and DVD, and fund a local premiere event. ($200 in total.) More information about the show is available on the official Facebook Page.
I'm also in need of computer upgrades in order to be able to properly edit and do post-production work on my films in progress, as well as funds to transfer my website and email over to a new web host. Another $240 will get me back on track with all of that. In the meantime, I've been hard at work this summer helping out my fellow local filmmakers on their projects in various capacities. But I'm eager to complete my own projects in progress. It's important to me to finish what I've started and share the work of all of my talented friends in the Toledo film community.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully helping us to fund all of the exciting projects coming from Bad Atom Studios! More information about all of my film projects and photography work can be found at my website, BadAtom.com and the Bad Atom Studios Facebook Page.
