Support for the Durwood “Hawk” Jones Family
Donation protected
In honor of Capt Rocky “Hawk” Jones, his wife and two boys. Rocky passed away Tuesday, December 8th, in a tragic F-16 accident in northern Michigan.
Rocky was a true warrior. His exceptional combat employment during OPERATION FREEDOM’S SENTINEL directly resulted in the safety of US and coalition forces under Taliban attack. For his heroic efforts, Rocky was awarded a single-event Air Medal and was individually praised by the Combatant Commander.
He was also a master innovator. His insatiable appetite for process improvement and incredible intellect led to him single handedly invent new ways to improve the daily processes in the squadron around him. From computer programming to making mariachi music, Rocky was a brilliant mind with limitless capability that was loved by all around him.
While Rocky was immensely dedicated to his squadron and mission, nothing matched his love and pride for his wife and two young boys.
He left us too soon, but Rocky’s legacy as a loving husband, dedicated father and friend, and a steadfast patriot lives on. Please help us in supporting the needs of our Badger Family. We are also working in conjunction with the Badger Air Community Council and their fund at www.badgerair.org (100% tax deductible donations). Either fund is a great way to support the family!
