Bad Idea Motorsports Teen Race Team
Bad Idea Motorsport is an amateur endurance racing team comprised of six high school students based in and around Boston, Massachusetts and Stowe, Vermont. The team will be participating in their first event in August, at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park, located in Thompson, CT.
The event spans an entire race weekend from August 12-13, 2017 with more than 12 hours of time on track, and is part of the 24 Hours of LeMons (a series of endurance-style events in which teams build and race cars that cost no more than $500). The race sees entries from many neighboring states, as well as a variety of cars. Many will enter, but few see the finish!
Bad Idea Motorsports is almost ready to race, campaigning a blue "Ikea" themed 1998 Volvo 850. However, some funding is needed to cover the final steps in preparation. The money gathered from this campaign will be used for consumable items (such as fuel, tires, and parts), remaining safety gear, as well as entry fees.
Thank you, and see you on track!
