Baelyn Campbells’ Recovery

Hello friends and family. On June 19th, 2024, our daughter and sister, Baelyn, was the passenger in a devastating car accident causing an extremely rare and complex break of the C2 vertebrae in her neck that her neuro surgical team has never seen before. This injury is going to require a very delicate and complex surgery to repair, but a tear in an artery on the backside of her neck is increasing the chances of stroke and prolonging the timeframe of when the surgery team feels it is safe to operate. For the foreseeable future Baelyn will continue to be in the trauma ICU recovering from the accident and the upcoming neck fusion surgery. She will come home in a halo brace and be unable to work for months. As a single mother of a 3 year old little girl, the times ahead are going to be difficult. We want to be able to help her with the recovery, but the shadow of financial difficulties will be on our minds. Our family has been a part of the Lindale community for a very long time and we know that many of you know Baelyn from school or as a nurse working in many of the nursing homes in and around Lindale.
