Bahamas Judo Hurricane Relief

Donation protected
My name is D'Arcy Rahming and I am the President of the Bahamas Judo Federation (BJF). On September 1, Hurricane Dorian struck Marsh Harbor on the island of Abaco with devastating force.  CNN is reporting 70,000 homeless and the Abaco Judo Club and many of it's students are counted amongst that number.

The Abaco Judo Club, a BJF member, was founded in the 1980s and since that time has produced national and international champions, and well as creating a community of transformation for its members. A dojo, like a school or a church or a synagogue, can function as an essential part of community life, and training there can help heal the emotional trauma that accompanies a disaster of this scale. People, and children in particular, need access to a physical and mental place of normalcy as quickly as possible.

In this period many students and their families are relocating while some are already rebuilding.  This gofundme fund has been established specifically for anything they will need in a transition to normalcy. It will be used for expenses for dojo students: from new school uniforms, doctors bills, etc. and the restoration of the physical dojo when that time comes.

To that end, we are appealing to you to help us rebuild the dojo community of Abaco. Every dollar helps. Thank you and may God Bless you.
