#Bahamasstrong Relief Bags

Although my shop, Tropical Threads (located in Frisco, Co) is far removed from the devastation that Dorian has had on the Bahama Islands; the effects of the storm  are very near and dear to me.  I have family members and friends who live and spend time throughout the beautiful islands of the Bahamas. Through my contacts with vendors in my embroidery business I learned that there was a real necessity for personal hygiene products for the victims of this terrible storm.  I immediately thought about the overstock of mesh bags that I have in my inventory and thought that would be a great use for the bags....fill them with hygiene products and get them down to the Bahamas as soon as possible.  I am working with family members in Ft. Lauderdale to fill the bags and get them flown over to the Islands. I am hoping to raise funds to go towards the supplies that we are putting in the bags.  We have 500 bags to fill and after speaking with others who are in contact with FEMA we have added a backpack and blanket to the bags. The items shown in the photo above are an example only; the following is a list of the exact items that will be put in each backpack and mesh travel bag:

The amount we are asking for will help to pay for the cost of the items above to fill the bags.

Any amount will be greatly appreciated and we will guarantee that the bags will get to the people that need them the most, The Bahamians who have lost everything!
