Bail Out the Clock Hands Duo
Donation protected
Earlier this month, the clock hands of Georgetown’s Healy Hall vanished, and two seniors are being framed for their theft. Just kidding – these guys definitely did it. As their friends, we understand how dangerous and destructive their actions were, but there’s no denying that this was legendary. Students have been taking the hands since the 1960s, but the last successful attempt was in 2017. It’s a #TimelessTradition tacitly promoted by the university that inspires Hoyas everywhere.
So the consequences have been finalized and our friends are facing a $4,530 fine ($2,265 each). Without condoning the duo's actions, we would like to ask you two things:
First, donate to alleviate the financial burden of this fine. Every dollar is greatly appreciated.
Second, share this link with every Hoya you know. Your best friend, your rich uncle, your freshmen floor GroupMe, your co-worker who wishes he went to Georgetown. Texts, emails, social media, we welcome all of it. And it would be pretty cool if a famous Georgetown alum donated (generously) to the cause, so someone send this to John Mulaney.
If you believe in the magic of the Healy hands tradition, please consider helping our friends out. They’ve gotten themselves into a tight situation by making sacrifices for our collective good – it’s time to say thank you.
