Bailey Dumbrell’s medical journey to recovery.

Hi, my name is Margo and I’m raising funds for an amazing, wonderful caring family and young man. How do I know Bailey?

I’ve known Bailey since he was in kindergarten a caring sweet loving little boy, that boy decided he would become best friends with my son Logan and many others who have crossed his path.

Bailey loves mountain biking and has gone so far as to competing against some of the best in the state. On Sunday 2nd of March 2025 Bailey was in Canberra getting ready to compete in nationals, during his practice run he came off and sustained a spinal injury. Once being intubated Bailey and his mum were flown to Sydney and underwent surgery where they discovered he has broken his C6 vertebra, during the surgery they removed that vertebra and replaced it with bone from his hip. At the moment things still look uncertain while the family wait for CT and MRI’s to be performed to rule out any further injuries. The possibility of Bailey having to go back to surgery is high. Once Baileys able to he will start the hard yards of learning to walk and gain his strength again. While all this is happening his parents are trying to keep some sort of normality for his siblings but with medical expenses increasing and to be able to bring him home with what ever equipment he will need, I am asking for you all to show some kindness to Bailey and his family and any donation will help him and his family relieve some of the stress and anxiety around them.
