Bailey Nesdahl was in a terrible car accident

McKenzie Salisbury and Bailey and their three kids could use your help.
Things can change in the blink of eye. And we all know we secretly fear this sudden shift in your life plans. Well the world of Bailey and McKenzie has been turned upside down right as everyone is preparing the joys of Christmas.
On Saturday, December 2nd Bailey borrowed her in-laws truck because the transmission in their vehicle was not shifting properly. She was headed into work at La Bella Vita Hair Salon in Elloree. Bailey does not remember what happened but it appears a deer may have crossed her path and she swerved to miss it, then overcorrected. The truck flipped several times and Bailey was trapped in the wreckage. Rescuers had to extract her from the truck and she was airlifted to Prizma Heath in Columbia. She had lost a lot of blood and had to be given several units.
There are several serious lacerations in her scalp. Her hand is broken, one lung has a hole in it. She has bruised and broken ribs, fractures in her neck and back. The C4, C5, C6, and T1 vertebras are affected. One things for certain this will be a long recovery.
However, we all know she didn’t survive this without help from above. The Lord was traveling with her. And he has been hearing our prayers. On Sunday while the oldest son Connor held things in and tried his best to be strong, little Cameron keep grabbing grandmama Libby by her hand and asking her to pray with him for his mama to be okay. And they prayed really hard.
They are waiting to get more information from the doctors, but one things for certain, it will involve a long hospital stay. Currently McKenzie is borrowing vehicles to get to the hospital to stay with Bailey. McKenzie will be missing work while Bailey is still in serious condition. And once she gets home, it will certainly be a while before she can return to work.
Connor, Cameron and Cora should be enjoying the Christmas season instead of facing the uncertainty that overtaken their family. So while we can’t help Bailey heal or help McKenzie handle all the emotional stress of dealing with such a serious situation , we can try to help relieve some of the financial stress on this young family.
Please consider giving to help out. And remember small donations add up. It’s the time for Christmas miracles and certainly a time for continued prayers.
Update 12-06 Hemoglobin is holding steady at 8.4. No blood clots in legs. Spinal fractures are stable. Possibility that she will be allowed to come home when they get her hemoglobin and blood pressure regulated. She’s in a cast on her left hand half way up her arm. Her lungs are healthy and young, so they’re not overly concerned about the small hole. She has a neck brace that she has to wear 24/7. She’s tolerating pain really well with mainly Tylenol, etc. Only had 1 pain pill earlier today.
