Bailey the Bichon - Life saving liver operation
Donation protected
Hello everyone, nice to meet you, my name is Bailey and I’m a Wichon (Westie X Bichon) born 02/07/2021.
I came to live with my forever family on 30th August and in this short time I have settled right in and grown very fond of my new surroundings.
After a week or so, my mum had suspicions that something was not quite right with me and she mentioned this on my visit to the vets for my jab, they told mum I was fine.
Fast-forward another week and unfortunately I took a turn for the worst and became very unwell. I was dribbling uncontrollably and was lifeless so my mum rushed me off to the doggy hospital!
The doggy hospital told mum that I could have a problem with my liver which would need to be confirmed with a CT scan.
Friday 17th September I went for a CT scan and then Saturday 18th September it was confirmed that I have a shunt in my liver that has not formed properly.
I am going for an operation which will fix this (hopefully)! And I will go on to live a normal happy doggy life.
The operation is going to cost upwards of £5,000 and I, along with my forever family will be super grateful for any donation (no donation too small)!!! as this is such an unexpected expense but there is no way that they would let me suffer.
All our love
Woof woof xx
