Bailey's Summer Piano Tuition
Donation protected
Welcome! Thank you for visiting my GoFundMe page.
For the past fourteen years, I have had the privilege of studying classical piano by means of my loving parents. These studies have led to my participation in various events and festivals nationwide, where I have trained alongside some of the most talented and insightful young musicians. A recent high school graduate, I am excited to begin my undergraduate studies at the Lynn Conservatory of Music this coming fall!

Last summer, I was fortunate enough to participate as a young artist in the Miami International Piano Festival Academy. This program consists of a three-week intensive symposium that includes daily masterclasses, weekly performance opportunities, and private lessons given by an ensemble of world-class musicians. It was without a doubt the highlight of my studies in 2015, and I am eager to return this year!
I come from a large family with four incredibly talented sisters, each of whom are pursuing their own musical and academic goals. With two of us headed to college this fall and another preparing to do so next year, my attending so prestigious a summer program is not without its financial limitations. It is my hope that this funding campaign will enable me to return to Miami while alleviating the financial burden placed on my family.
The funds raised in this campaign will be used solely to cover my tuition and housing fees for the 2016 Miami International Piano Festival Academy. If you would like to donate, please feel free to do so! The program will run from July 3-24, and we hope to meet our goal by May 31st. Complementary tickets and membership benefits will be offered to sponsors on behalf of the Miami International Piano Festival. Please visit the weblink below for more information:

My experience in Miami last summer was unlike any that I had before. Being a young black musician, I am still a scarcity in many parts of the world, and it was truly inspiring to collaborate with my international peers and witness the work of professional musicians firsthand. As I aspire to maintain a concertizing career of my own, I am certain that the Miami International Piano Festival will be a central part of this journey for many years to come.
Thank you for reading my story, and for considering my circumstances. By offering your sponsorship, you will do much more than contribute to my summer tuition–you will be cultivating my growth in the arts for a lifetime! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly. It would be my honor to receive your sponsorship.
With gratitude,
Bailey-Michelle Collins
