Bailey's Battle With Bleach Attack
Donation protected
Bailey is a sweet and beautiful 4 year old cat my niece has developed a strong bond with.
On Saturday Feb 20th Bailey left the house for about 1 hour to go outside. Bailey stumbled in through the doggy door and collapsed soaked in bleach with chemical burns and beat wounds to her face. She had been fully submerged in bleach. Somebody had tried to torture and drown this animal. We have filled a police report but currently have no idea who has done these disturbing acts against this poor animal.

Bailey is not an aggressive animal and likely greeted this sick human with love. Bailey fought her way home, she did not seclude herself to die in a hidden area she ran home and collapsed through the doggy door at which point was rushed to animal emergency within 4 minutes. Bailey is fighting for her life. She is suffering severe burns to her face and eyes. She consumed and inhaled bleach, the extent of her injuries have yet to be determined. Bailey is unable to use her eyes and we are unsure if she will be blind if she pulls through and currently has no taste or smell due to the damage in her mouth. My heart breaks for this sweet cat, Bailey has been an emotional support for my niece who has experienced trauma herself and now suffers with anxiety and depression. Bailey has brought comfort to this family on so many levels and truly is a sweetheart. I don't understand how someone could be so cruel . Bailey is stable at the moment on IV therapy and pain medication to keep her comfortable through these critical days ahead of her. Its not known how long she will need to be in hospital for but as long as she is fighting we are fighting along side with her. We want to bring awareness to the community to let surrounding neighbors know this tragic event and to please keep their beloved pets close.
