Bailey’s long road to recovery

To all and anyone whose thoughts and prayers are with us,

We sincerely appreciate your support. We have had many unanswered questions resolved due to some outstanding heroes in your community. You all should be proud of this bond and amazing support system.

We are heartbroken and shattered. It hurts so much.

Bradi Smith. May you rest in peace. We will miss you. You will NEVER be forgotten. We will advocate for you and make changes so others don’t have to ever read about this happening yet again. You were our Bradi. Our precious daughter in law. Loved by everyone. Kind. Giving. Nurturing. A soon to be mom.

Bailey Chagnon, you are strong. You’re loved and this community proves how much we care and are upset at this outcome. Something that should have never happened.

Bailey, remains in ICU and is now considered to be stable and is improving hour by hour. It will be weeks before she is released.

We are asking for your help to support Bailey’s long road to recovery, who was in school as a PSW and had finally gotten her placement at The Royal Ottawa. She will be in the hospital for many weeks due to severe organ trauma and broken bones. She will require therapy. Counselling amongst many things.

Unfortunately her beloved high school sweetheart and fiancé Bradi succumb to her injuries in a fatal collision that could have been so easily prevented. We are petitioning the Embrun Township to install stop signs in high risk intersections. Bradi was 2 months pregnant and the girls had accrued many expenses over the last 2 years with fertility clinics etc.

Bradi was like a daughter to us and we want to help advocate for her in this senseless loss.
