Bajan Big Soup: A Community Cookbook
Tax deductible
Slow Food Barbados is partnering with Slow Food USA to host this crowdfunding campaign. 100% proceeds to Barbados.
Slow Soup needs you.
Since the start of the pandemic, we’ve served over 40,000 bowls of warm, nourishing soup to our most vulnerable; single mothers, elders, people with physical and cognitive differences and amputees.
With great programs, come great costs: rent, containers, utilities, produce, stipends, gas and the list goes on. We keep farmers farming, chefs cooking and communities nourished but to keep this program going, we’re going to raise 45,000 US dollars to publish the book.
We’re making our first Cookbook called the “Big Bajan Soup” to help you celebrate local ingredients from farmers and fisherfolk, featuring talented chefs and their delicious recipes that have passed through our kitchens.
With every book bought or gifted, a family is fed so please help us reach our goal.
If we reach our goal:
Donate at least $30 US:
If on island, collect a cookbook from mid-January from The Local & Co.
If living abroad, we'll get you a digital edition.
