Bali’s Colic surgery

Bad day for us today. Last night Bali coliced and we had the vet out.

This morning. She had not resolved. I ended up leaving work to take her into the hospital where it was determined she would need surgery. No we can’t really afford this type of surgery (not many can) but We opted to do it anyway. I just can’t imagine putting her down, let alone a week before her fifth birthday.

She is now out of surgery and into icu recovery. Fingers crossed that Everything goes smoothly from here.

A huge thank you to my sister, who checked on her and sent me a video when things weren’t right. without her I may not have gotten home in time. And a huge thank you to my mother who showed up to support me through this decision! thank you to the team at Littleton Equine for taking such good care of her and even braiding her main after the surgery.

And of course, thank you to everybody who showed support weather in communication comments or just thoughts and prayers.

Any of you have asked how you can help and honestly the bill will be between 10,000 and $15,000. I’ve already extended my credit limit to cover the deposit. Any help would be appreciated immensely! But I also don’t want anyone to feel obligated to help. If you’re not in a position to help I completely understand I’ve been there.
