Ballard Station Support & Employee Assistance Fund
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Jesse Young, here with my wife Kayla, daughter Wyatt, and bar dog Bowie. We’re here to ask for your support of the Ballard Station bar and our employees.
Our fun, Ballard community bar has been closed since the pandemic hit in March. Since then, we’ve been covering rent and our employees’ health insurance, as it’s incredibly important to us that our employees retain the layer of security that health insurance provides, especially during a pandemic. However, our specific licensing won’t allow us to reopen the bar until Washington enters its final phase of reopening. Unfortunately, at this time, we are no longer able to cover these expenses and we need your help. We are reaching out to our community to ask for assistance in covering rent and employee health insurance such that we are able to reopen again when the time comes. The community that built The Station is now our only hope of saving The Station.
We’re really proud of the space we’ve created over the past three years! It’s a place we’re proud to bring our friends and family, and where we’ve made new friends in the incredible Ballard community. We can’t wait to be slinging beers and shaking cocktails again, while you cheer on the Hawks or Zags (Sounders, UW, WSU, etc.) and enjoy takeout from one of the delicious local restaurants around us. We love being a part of the Ballard hospitality scene, and we plan to be back at it, just as soon as it’s safe for you and our employees.
We want to show our appreciation for your support, so we have a few fun treats to share:
For every donation: We’ll send you a list of recipes for six of our most popular cocktails
For the first 15 people to donate $100: We’ll send you a Ballard Station swag pack, including a tshirt, beanie and koozie
For the first 3 people to donate $250: We’ll host you and five friends for a 30 minute virtual bartending class with a Station PRO
For any donation of $500 or more: We’ll make you part of the foundation of The Station, by writing your name on one of the bricks in the bar
Thank you so much for your contribution to our cause. If you’re looking for other small businesses to support in Ballard, visit the Ballard Marketplace .
