Ballot Box Scotland GE24 Fundraiser

This funding will allow Ballot Box Scotland to commission a dedicated Scotland-only poll ahead of the 2024 UK General Election on the 4th of July, from a reputable, BPC-member polling firm.

The quote given for a poll is just under £4,000; allowing for the fact I have already got around £2,000 in the bank dedicated to future BBS polling and fees, the initial target for this crowdfunder has been set at £2,500.

The poll will include questions on:

Westminster voting intention

Holyrood voting intention

Independence voting intention

Whether voters would support Proportional Representation for Westminster elections

How voters might vote in UK and Scottish elections with a single PR vote (possibly)

Attitudes towards reform of the House of Lords

If any further questions are asked beyond those listed above, they will be entirely related to elections, voting, and democratic systems. Ballot Box Scotland will never conduct issue polling on anything except democratic systems and reform.

What about Liberapay Donations?

Donations received via Liberapay to date have contributed to running costs and acted as an important income supplement. It is not expected that people who are already contributing via Liberapay should contribute any more to Ballot Box Scotland than they already are.

For the duration of the crowdfunder, any income via Liberapay will be recorded and added to the fundraising total here on GoFundMe.

In the event that funding exceeds what is necessary for a poll, those funds will be specifically set aside for spending on future commissioned polling.

NOTE: As the Crowdfunder has now reached its target, and for (exciting) reasons I don't feel the need to add a stretch goal, Liberapay donations will not be added to the total going forward, but any additional donations through this page will go directly into that dedicated pot of cash.
