Ballroom Blitz: Experimental Film
Donation protected
Hi there! My name's Alex Kennedy. I'm a senior at NYU Tisch School of the Arts about to put on my biggest film production yet. It will require careful planning, patience, an awesome crew, some chipotle catering, and of course, funding. The money that I raise here on GoFundMe will go towards equipment rentals, location costs, stunt coordination, choreography, props, film festival fees, aforementioned burritos for the cast and crew and all the other miscellaneous fees that come with making a film of this scale.
I hold this film very near and dear to me, as it is not only a chance to do what I love but signifies my next big leap as a filmmaker.
The film, tentatively titled "Ballroom Blitz" is an experimental film that I wrote last year. The film is a large ballroom scene with nearly twenty dancers all in their nicest garb. However, the film takes a turn in an entirely different direction when a jealous dancer punches a woman in the face and the entire group begins to brawl until they're all knocked unconscious.
In the later years here at NYU, the film program highly encourages the raising of funds outside of the NYU network. This helps us as students to gain an understanding of what life as a filmmaker outside of school will be like. A film like this simply wouldn't be possible without outside funding, so here I am, asking for your help to make this vision of mine a reality.
If you choose to donate to this film, helping me take my next step towards creating a career in doing what I love, I will be extremely grateful.
All who donate will, of course, be listed in the credits, receive a copy of the film once edited and receive my undying love and thanks.
