I hope you are all well in these challenging and strange times.

Ballybrown Camogie Club was founded back in 1986 when we entered a Junior team in the local league and championship. In 2001, due to the increased interest in camogie in the parish, we entered two underage teams in the league and championship. Today our club is represented at all levels, from underage to Junior. Our club has grown into a major force in Limerick Camogie.

With seven teams from U8s up as far as Junior level we have approximately 120 players playing per season. We have had numerous players on County teams at all levels from U12s up to Senior level. With our numbers growing in the club, we entered two Junior teams last year for the Junior Championship. This was a huge achievement for the club.

We are now looking to bring the club to the next level and invest in our underage teams right up as far as Junior level.

As you are aware, last year was very difficult for any club to raise money.

Funding is the backbone of keeping a club supplied with essential equipment, to aid in the training/development of the players and the everyday running of a club.

Our camogie club is independent of the GAA club and we raise our own funds to keep the camogie club going year on year.

We are looking to raise funds in a Go Fund Me page that will develop Ballybrown Camogie Club.

With this funding, we hope to upgrade the surface of the community field and invest in the training/development of our underage players, Junior squads and coaches and to ensure the highest standards are achieved.
